Andrea Bajani is an Italian writer and journalist. In 2011 he won the Premio Bagutta with his novel Ogni Promessa and in 2008 the Premio Super Mondelo, the Premio Recannati and the Premio Brancati for his novel Se Consideri le Colpe. In 2006 he wrote the reportage Mi spezzo ma non m’impiego about the uncertainties facing Italian workers. He lives and works in Germany.

Ernesto Ferrero is an author, literary critic and director of the Torino Book Fair. He has written several novels, a biography, curated a dialogue between Primo Levi and Tullio Regge, and was the Editorial Director of the publishing house, Einaudi. As a critic he writes for publications including La Stampa, Il Sole 24 Ore and frequently appears as a cultural commentator for RAI. He lives and works in Torino.

Alberto Manguel is an Argentine-born Canadian writer, translator, editor and lecturer. Among his five novels, a book of film criticism and numerous essays, he wrote the widely acclaimed A History of Reading in 1996. Manguel continues to edit a number of literary anthologies and writes a regular column for Geist magazine. He lives and works in the US and has recently been nominated Director of the Buenos Aires National Library, for the “seat of Borges”.

Beatrice Monti della Corte was born to a Lombardian father and an Armenian mother. In 1955 she opened the the Galleria Dell’Ariete in Milan, which for over twenty-years became a centre for international writers and artists. In ‘67 she married the writer Gregor von Rezzori with whom she remained in Tuscany, and after his death in 1998 transformed their house into a foundation for prominent writers from around the world, and has hosted, so far, over 170. She continues to work as a contributing editor for Vanity Fair and lives between New York and Tuscany.

Edmund White  has written some twenty-five books and edited several anthologies. He is perhaps best known for his biography of French writer Jean Genet, for which he won the National Book Critics Circle Award.. He is also the author of a trilogy of autobiographical novels—A Boy’s Own Story, The Beautiful Room is Empty, and The Farewell Symphony. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and an officer in the French Order of Arts and Letters and a winner of the France-Amériques award and of the Mondello prize in Sicily. He taught writing at Princeton and lives in New York City.

SILVIA COSTANTINO

Silvia Costantino loves books, photography, TV series and witch stories. She lives in Florence, where she organized the Firenze RiVista festival and occasionally presents a book. She is founder and editor of cultural magazine 404: file not found, collaborates with Last Page and with The FLR, and sometimes appears elsewhere. She has a social alter ego, Giorgeliot, who has fun telling her own facts.

ILARIA GIANNINI

Ilaria Giannini, born in 1982 in Pietrasanta, graduated in Political and International Science at the University of Pisa, is a professional journalist and writer. She works for the official portal of the Tuscany Region Intoscana.it and writes about gender issues for Cosebelle Magazine. She has published two ““I provinciali” (Gaffi) and “Facciamo finta che sia per sempre” (Intermezzi); Together with Federico di Vita wrote “I treni non esplodono” (Piano B, the first book on the Viareggio railroad. She has worked, among others, with Internazionale, l’Ansa Firenze, Novaradio, Mangialibri and Toscana Tv.

GAIA RAU

Born in Genoa in 1982 but Tuscan by choice, she graduated in Political Science at the “Cesare Alfieri” in Florence with a thesis on feminism in the Islamic world and subsequently obtained a Master in Journalism and Communication at the University of Rome II ” Tor Vergata”. Since 2008 she has been a professional journalist and since that same year, after various experiences in national television and paper magazines, she has worked for the Florentine editorial of the newspaper “La Repubblica”, where she mainly deals with cultural and societal pages, writing about the most important artistic events, Literary and cinematic events in Tuscany.

ELEONORA PINZUTI

Eleonora Pinzuti lives in Florence where, after a Ph.D. on the phenomenology of otherness, she has worked as a freelance practitioner in the field of Gender Equality and Inclusive Formative Practices. she has devoted numerous studies to  the critique of difference, contemporary philology and narrative, and has curated Bestiari di Genere volumes (Sef, 2008 in co-curation) and Marguerite Yourcenar sulle tracce “des accidents passagers” (Bulzoni, 2007) Poet, beginning with Tempi Eversi (Crocetti, 2002) and her works are translated and published in various Italian and foreign magazines  including Crocetti, Zona, «Semicerchio», ChainLinks, Fara Editore, «Mosaics». St. Andrew Journal of Italian Poetry, “” Poetry. International poetic culture magazine ».  Èsodi is part of Poesia Contemporanea. Undicesimo Quaderno Italiano Marcos y Marcos, 2012. Her texts have been recently published in Serbian (Ljubljana, 2015). Her next publication is Con Figure (Editrice Zona, 2017).
