Edwin Frank

Edwin Frank was born in Boulder, Colorado in 1960. He studied Art History at Harvard and Columbia, and is a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford. After working on a catalog called Reader’s Digest: The 40,000 Best Books in Print, and discovering that many titles were out of print, he founded New York Review Books in 1999 with The New York Review of Books, with the aim of publishing out of print classics from around the world. In addition to his editorial activity, he is also a poet, having published Snake Train: Poems 1984-2013. He is working on a book about the 20th century novel.
