Uzodima Iweala

Uzodinma Iweala was born in 1982 in Washington, D.C.. He graduated from Harvard University, where he was a Mellon Mays Scholar and recieved a number of prizes for his writing, including the Eager Prize, and the Hoopes prize, awarded for outstanding undergraduate thesis. His first novel Beast of no Nation was chosen the best book of the year 2006 by the New York Magazine, Time and People magazines. He lives in New York City.
